All we need is an easy explanation of the problem, so here it is.
I Googled how to get the username of the current user and was told to use:
SQL> sys_context('userenv', 'session_user')
But when I type that command in, I get the error:
SP2-0734: unknown command beginning "sys_contex…" – rest of line ignored
What am I missing? The Oracle version is
Oracle Database 19c Enterprise Edition Release 184.108.40.206.0 - Production

SQL> SELECT sys_context('userenv', 'session_user') FROM dual;
Note: Use and implement method 1 because this method fully tested our system.
