pg_dump dumps data from dblinks?

All we need is an easy explanation of the problem, so here it is.

I’m working with a postgres database recovered from a dump, and there are some empty tables and foreign keys with null values. I’m suspecting the dump could be incomplete, because original database had these data from dblinks.

I couldn’t find it in the documentation. When we do the pg_dump it dumps the data from dblinks?

How to solve :

I know you bored from this bug, So we are here to help you! Take a deep breath and look at the explanation of your problem. We have many solutions to this problem, But we recommend you to use the first method because it is tested & true method that will 100% work for you.

Method 1

No, pg_dump won’t dump data from views. Views don’t store data: they’re purely a definition of how to retrieve the data — a stored select statment, if you will.

Note: Use and implement method 1 because this method fully tested our system.
Thank you 🙂
